PERU TOURIST VISA CHECKLIST

 

NOTE: If you are an Indian national with an ordinary Indian passport, holding permanent residence OR if you have a visa with at least 6 months' validity from USA, UK, Canada, Australia or any of the 26 Schengen countries of Europe; you don't need a temporary visa for Peru for the maximum 180 calendar days' stay.

 

TOURIST Requirements

 

  1. Passport with a minimum validity of six months after expected date of arrival to Peru.
  2. Photocopy of the front and back sides of passport.
  3. Two (DGC 005) forms duly typed or handwritten, in block letters and using black ink.
  4. Three recent coloured, passport-size photographs (4.3 X 3.5 cm) with white background. The face size should cover between 70% - 80% of the photograph.
  5. Cover letter duly signed by the applicant.
  6. If employed, the applicant must present a non-objection certificate furnished by the employer, indicating the date they joined the organization, as well as the purpose and the time of their stay in Peru.
  7. Round-trip ticket reservation to Peru.
  8. Day by day detailed itinerary while in Peru.
  9. Hotel reservation(s) in Peru.
  10. Proof of financial solvency, e.g. bank statements, fixed deposits. These are required even if the trip is sponsored.
  11. Personal Income Tax Return (ITR) of Form 16 (1 year), if applicable.
  12. In case of sponsored trips:

 

- Sponsor in Peru or India should present a guarantee letter attesting that he or she will be responsible to bear some or all costs of boarding and lodging of the applicant, or repatriation, if needed.

- Valid identification document of the sponsor, e.g. Peruvian DNI, Aadhar card, Passport or any other valid national identification document.

- Proof of financial solvency of the sponsor, e.g. bank statements, fixed deposit.

PERU BUSINESS VISA CHECKLIST

 

Requirements

 

  1. Passport with a minimum validity of six months after expected date of arrival to Peru.
  2. Photocopy of the front and back sides of passport.
  3. Two (DGC 005) forms duly typed or handwritten, in block letters and using black ink.
  4. Three recent coloured, passport-size photographs (4.3 X 3.5 cm) with white background. The face size should cover between 70% - 80% of the photograph.
  5. Cover letter duly signed by the applicant.
  6. An apostilled invitation letter in English or Spanish from the business associate in Peru to be directly mailed at consular@embassyperuindia.in or faxed at +91-11-4616 3301.
  7. A formal letter from the company in which the person is employed, mentioning company profile and purpose of the travel of the applicant.
  8. A Letter from the recognized local chambers of commerce (FIEO, FICCI, APEDA, ASSOCHAM, PHD etc) confirming the company's registration details.
  9. Proof of registration of the company.
  10. Personal Bank Statement of the applicant (latest 3 months).
  11. Latest 1 year income tax receipt of the applicant.
  12. Salary slips, for the latest six months.
  13. Round-trip ticket reservation to Peru.
  14. Hotel reservation(s) in Peru.


Observations
 

- The submission of the visa application and supporting documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa.  Each application is assessed individually by the Peruvian Consul.

- Visa applications can ONLY be submitted and processed at the Embassy of Peru in New Delhi.

- Documents sent through email or courrier will not be processed.

- If an application is presented by an agent, it will only be processed once the original file is submitted to the Embassy, not from the date of submission to the agency.

- In addition to the abovementioned documents, nationals of Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka are required to furnish a police clearance certificate. The Embassy of Peru in Turkey now handles the applications from Iranian citizens.

- Time of tourist and business visa processing for Indian nationals inormally ranges within 4-5 working days. Non-Indian nationals' applications may take around 10 working days to be processed.

- Once an application is submitted, the Consular Section of the Embassy of Peru reserves its right to require an interview and additional documents.

- Peru does not require travellers to hold a valid yellow fever certificate.

- Other visa categories which fall under the competency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs require additional clearance from headquarters in Lima, Peru.

- Visas issued by the Peruvian government are valid for six (06) months, counted from the date they were issued. Once this term expires, if a visa has not been used by its holder, it automatically expires.

- Upon the first entry of the visa holder to Peru, visas will have the same validity as the period of permanence shown in the endorsement.
