GHANA TOURIST VISA CHECKLIST

DOCUMENT REQUIRED

1. 1. Passport.
   2. Passport Size Photograph.
   3. Yellow fever vaccination.
   4. Most Recent Bank Statement.
   5. Air ticket Reservation (return/onward journey).
   6. Hotel reservation (if applicant will not be hosted by person sending invitation).
   7. If no hotel reservation then two references in Ghana with their ID proof.

Note: Visa application fees are non-refundable whether your application is successful or not. The High Commission will not refund the fees if your application documentation was not submitted for processing within 90 days of the application. A new application and payment would have to be submitted

Please note that before embarking on the journey, the prospective traveler is bound to have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever and should be in possession of a valid certificate attesting that the bearer has had the vaccination for not less than 10 days prior to the journey.

ONLINE VISA APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

i. Complete one online visa application form per applicant.

ii. Ensure that you have uploaded the applicants PHOTOGRAPH before completing the main section of the online visa application form.

iii. Only image / file types of PDF, jpeg, jpg and png are allowed.

iv. Take note of your visa reference number as you will need it in all official communications with respect to this online visa application.

v. Processing of the online visa application WILL only begin after all the relevant supporting document(s) and evidence of payment have been duly submitted at the Consular Section of the Ghana High Commission, New Delhi.

vi. Please note that successful completion and submission of a visa form does not guarantee issuance of a visa.

vii. You will receive a minimum of four (4) automatic notifications to the stated contact on the application form during the online visa application process. The communication notifications occur as follows:

o The first notification is sent upon successful completion of the Online Visa Application.

o A second notification acknowledgement is sent when your passport and all supporting document(s) are received at the Ghana High Commission, Consular Section.

o The third notification is sent when the VISA Application is either approved or declined together with the collection date..

o Please do not come to the Embassy to collect your passport unless you are in possession of the collection notification.

o Please follow strictly the photo specifications as failure to do so will render your application null and void.

i. The digital photo must be taken face view and cover roughly 80% of the picture frame (without sunglasses and normally without a hat or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background).

ii. Photo should not be older than 6 months and must be taken against a white or off-white background. Photos must have no borders.

iii. The digital photo must adhere to the following dimensions, colour and file format as set out in the table below:
