Visa Exemptions for Indian National. All Indian Nationals can enter to Colombia without visa if they comply with the following conditions:-

  1. You do not need a visa to enter Colombia if you are a US or Schengen visa holder with a minimum validity of 180 days at the time of entering Colombia (an airport transit visa is not admissible) or you have residence permit in a Member State of the Schengen Area or in the United States of America.
  2. You must apply for a visa.

COLOMBIA BUSINESS VISA CHECKLIST

 

NE 1: For the alien entering the country with the purpose of conducting commercial and business actions, promoting economic exchange, investing and creating business.

 

Requirements:

 

a. Attach a copy of the personal data page of your current passport where the holder’s personal information is registered.

b. Submit a passport or travel document issued by an Authority or State recognized by the Colombian Government, with a validity of one hundred eighty (180) days, in good condition, with at least two (2) blank pages. Without prejudice to the provisions of treaties and current international instruments, travel documents issued by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN), shall be accepted by the Colombian State.

c. Copy of the passport page which was stamped during the last entry or exit of Colombia as appropriate.

d. For visas previously granted without Fast Reading Code (FRC), attach a copy of the page showing the last Colombian visa. If that visa was granted with FRC, this requirement is not necessary.

e. If the procedure will be completed through a proxy, attach the power of attorney duly granted.

f. Letter from the authorized representative of the artificial person, or public, private or mixed-capital entity established in the country that promotes the visit of the alien, where it shows the activities to be undertaken, economic sector, investment plans and expresses the responsibility over the alien during his/her stay in the country; along with the certificate of incorporation and legal representation (attach pages containing the following information: Legal identity, corporate purpose, legal representatives, capital or shareholding structure, functions of legal representative) or

g. Letter from the authorized representative of the foreign commercial, industrial or service company that promotes the visit of aliens to the country indicating the activities to be undertaken, economic sector, investment plans stating that the company or foreign legal person takes responsibility over the alien during his/her stay in the country; along with the certificate of incorporation and legal representation or similar document, depending on the country of origin, or

h. Business Visa applicant invitation or cover letter written by a Chamber of Commerce or an investment or trade promotion Government Office from the Business Visa applicant country of origin or residence stating the activities s/he will develop in the country.

i. Fill out the visa application electronically through the following link: Visa Application. In the case of artistic, sporting and cultural groups the visa application may be filled out by their representative. Be thorough with the information of each of the group members.

 

NE 2: For the alien wishing to enter the country temporarily as a business person within the framework of current international instruments, among others: free trade agreements, partnership agreement and within the framework of the Pacific Alliance to further business’ management activities; promote business; develop investment; establish the business presence of a company; promote cross-border trade in goods and services or other activities that are defined in those instruments.

 

Requirements:

 

a. Attach a copy of the personal data page of your current passport where the holder’s personal information is registered.

b. Submit a passport or travel document issued by an Authority or State recognized by the Colombian Government, with a validity of one hundred eighty (180) days, in good condition, with at least two (2) blank pages.

c. Without prejudice to the provisions of treaties and current international instruments, travel documents issued by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN), shall be accepted by the Colombian State.

d. Copy of the passport page which was stamped during the last entry or exit of Colombia as appropriate.

Letter from the legal representative of the commercial company established in Colombia or abroad, where the purpose of the visit to the country is stated; it should be framed within the activities covered by current international instruments on economic integration, among others: free trade agreements, partnership and economic complementation Agreement and within the framework of the Pacific Alliance.

h. Formation or incorporation certificate and legal representation or similar document of the commercial corporation, according to the country of domicile or incorporation.

i. Fill out the visa application electronically through the following link: Visa Application. In the case of artistic, sporting and cultural groups the visa application may be filled out by their representative. Be thorough with the information of each of the group members.

 

NE 3: For the alien wishing to enter the country as manager or representative of a foreign commercial or governmental office or whoever is acting as such for the promotion of economic or commercial trade in or with Colombia.

 

Requirements:

 

a. Attach a copy of the personal data page of your current passport where the holder’s personal information is registered.

b. Submit a passport or travel document issued by an Authority or State recognized by the Colombian Government, with a validity of one hundred eighty (180) days, in good condition, with at least two (2) blank pages.

c. Without prejudice to the provisions of treaties and current international instruments, travel documents issued by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN), shall be accepted by the Colombian State.

d. Copy of the passport page which was stamped during the last entry or exit of Colombia as appropriate.

g. Cover letter of the foreign commercial government office established in Colombia that promotes economic or commercial trade in or with Colombia, signed by its manager or representative.

h. Fill out the visa application electronically through the following link: Visa Application. In the case of artistic, sporting and cultural groups the visa application may be filled out by their representative. Be thorough with the information of each of the group members.

 

NE 4: For the alien wishing to enter the country as president or senior executive of a multinational company to make investments and build enterprise.

 

Requirements:

 

a. Attach a copy of the personal data page of your current passport where the holder’s personal information is registered.

b. Submit a passport or travel document issued by an Authority or State recognized by the Colombian Government, with a validity of one hundred eighty (180) days, in good condition, with at least two (2) blank pages.

c. Without prejudice to the provisions of treaties and current international instruments, travel documents issued by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN), shall be valid and accepted by the Colombian State.

d. Copy of the passport page which was stamped during the last entry or exit of Colombia as appropriate.

e. For visas previously granted without Fast Reading Code (FRC), attach a copy of the page showing the last Colombian visa. If that visa was granted with FRC, this requirement is not necessary.

f. If the procedure will be completed through a proxy, attach the power of attorney duly granted.

g. Cover letter of the multinational company stating that the applicant is president or senior manager of the company, along with a certification of constitution or legal representation or similar document of the legal entity (attach the pages containing the following information: Legal identity, social purpose, legal representatives, capital or shareholding structure, functions of legal representative), depending on the country of origin.

h. Fill out the visa application electronically through the following link: Visa Application. In the case of artistic, sporting and cultural groups the visa application may be filled out by their representative. Be thorough with the information of each of the group members.

 

Remember:

 

  • For your visa to be stamped on your passport, you must submit it to the consulate where your application was completed or to the offices in Bogota. You can enter Colombia presenting the  electronic visa that you received in your email.

 

Note: If you submit your application on-site, you are not required to bring photographs with you. These will be taken at the dispatching office.
