VISA REQUIREMENT


ARGENTINA TOURIST VISA CHECKLIST

 

1. Passport: must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the intended date of entry and have at least one completely free page left for the visa.


2. A completed visa application form: Answer ALL questions.


3. One recent passport style photograph


4. Flight ticket (round trip)


5. Hotel reservation


6. Evidence of funds: personal bank statement of the last six months. Please provide original documents. If considered necessary, credit card statements.


7. If you are visiting family members or friends, you need to present an ORIGINAL invitation letter from them and a copy of their Argentine ID (DNI). The letter must be CERTIFIED by an Argentine Public Notary and also by the "Colegio de Escribanos" (the Public Notaries’ Association). If you are staying with them, you do not need hotel booking.


8. A letter explaining the purpose of your trip and the program (itinerary of the cities you are visiting) The letter must be notarized and duly translated into Spanish by a professional translator (the translation does not need to be notarized).

 

9. A letter from your employer, authorizing the trip, confirming that you are currently employed by the company and for how long. This letter must be written on company letter-head, signed by the person in charge, notarized and duly translated into Spanish by a professional translator (the translation does not need to be notarized), and must be accompanied by your last month salary/pay-slip and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-.


If you are the owner of the business, please add a copy of your business’ official registration and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-.


If you are self-employed or a student, you need to present all documents/certificates related to your current occupation. All such documents must be notarized and duly translated into Spanish by a professional translator (the translation does not need to be notarized)

 

Applicants are suggested to present documents attesting their experience in their field of expertise and current occupation (documents must be notarized and duly translated).


All documents must be presented in ORIGINAL (no photocopies or emails will be accepted).

 

HOW TO START THE PROCESS

 

- Visa application forms accompanied by ALL the required documentation must be presented IN PAPER at this Consulate. Visa applications with incomplete documentation will not be accepted.


Translations must be adequate; internet/online translations are not accepted.


Please DO NOT SUBMIT DOCUMENTS BY EMAIL, unless you are requested to do so by the Consular Section. Only COMPLETE applications presented IN PAPER at the Consulate will be considered.


We suggest applicants to present their applications at least 3 weeks before the expected date of travel to avoid any inconveniences/delays.


- The intervention of agents is NOT compulsory to perform paperwork in this Consulate.


- Submitting false information either on the visa application documents or during the visa interview can lead to a finding of a permanent ineligibility. Never submit your application without reviewing it first.


- Once the complete application is presented at the Consulate, it will be analyzed by the Chief of the Consular Section. Within the next 72 working hours, the applicant will be informed if any additional documents are required, if there are any corrections to be done or if he/she is able to come for the personal interview. Applicants will be called to come for the interview once their applications fulfill ALL the necessary requirements.


*Every applicant will be called to come in person for the personal interview with a Consular Officer. This interview is mandatory by law and admits no exceptions.*


- The applicable visa fees will be paid only after having been informed of visa approval by the Consular Officer, who will also indicate where the bank deposit should be made. No cash is handled at this Consulate; deposits are made in Indian Rupees.
After the personal interview, the approval of the visa and the payment of the corresponding fee at the Bank, the visa will be processed within the next 5 working days.


Applicants will be informed when their visa is ready. Please DO NOT CALL us, we will call you.
In accordance with the relevant laws of the Argentine Republic and the international practice in the matter, please note that the Consul is entitled to refuse the visa request.

 

Summary of the process

 

• The complete application is submitted (by the applicant or any person authorized by him/her)

• The application is analyzed by the Consular Officer (max. 72 hrs)

• The Applicant is informed if there are corrections to be done or documents to be added

• The Applicant is informed if he/she can  make the corresponding payment -by cash deposit- in our bank & come for the personal interview following day.

• After the interview, if the visa is approved, Within the next 5 working days, the applicant is informed that the visa is ready for pick up.

Letter from the company or institution for which the applicant is working, explaining the purpose of the trip, confirming that the applicant is currently employed by the company, for how long and must be accompanied by his/her last month salary/pay-slip and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-.

8. Letter from the respective chamber of commerce of the Indian state where the company is registered or from any Federation, Council or Association in which the company is registered; accompanied by the company’s registration certificate.
The letter must be presented in original, on letter-head, signed by the person in charge, notarized and translated into Spanish. Kindly note that the translation does not need to be notarized.


All documents must be presented in ORIGINAL (no photocopies or emails will be accepted)

9. IF POSSIBLE: ORIGINAL INVITATION LETTER FROM THE COMPANY OR CLIENT IN ARGENTINA that is requiring the applicant, fulfilling all the following requirements:


- The letter must be certified by a Public Notary and by the Public Notaries Association ("Colegio de Escribanos").


- Any person or institution inviting someone to come to Argentina for any purpose different from tourism must be registered at the RENURE (Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes Extranjeros) of the National Migration Office (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones -DNM-) in Argentina. The RENURE REGISTRATION NUMBER must be included in the invitation letter. Without such number the invitation is not valid. Kindly note that the person signing the invitation letter must be THE SAME ONE whose signature is registered at the RENURE.


- The invitation letter from the company/client in Argentina must include: the personal details of the applicant, the purpose of his/her trip, the specific tasks he/she will be performing and the exact period during which the applicant is required to stay.
The letter must also clarify if the applicant has entered Argentina in previous occasions.


- The invitation letter must be written in Spanish and addressed to Head of the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in New Delhi, India (Jefe de la Sección Consular de la Embajada de la República Argentina en India).
